Request a quotationWhere A Manual Cabinet Still Beats An Automatic Line
Not every part needs a conveyor. When the workpiece is a mould, a cast component, a bracket or a piece that still needs hand finishing, an operator holding the gun is faster than any automated pass — because the operator can hold the nozzle against a rib, work into a corner, and stop when the surface reads right. A blast wheel cannot make those judgements.
The trade-off is that everything a manual cabinet lacks in automation it must make up in containment and ergonomics. A manual cabinet is an open box with a gun in it, which means the operator spends the shift breathing blasting media unless extraction and filtration are designed in rather than bolted on. This machine is built around that constraint: the dust system is the core of the machine, not an accessory.
What The Cabinet Actually Does
- Integrated dust extraction and high-efficiency cartridge filter — the filter and fan are part of the cabinet rather than a separate unit to be piped in, which removes a leak point and keeps the footprint small
- Adjustable pressure regulation — pressure is the main variable for finishing, and holding it steady while moving across a part is what keeps a surface consistent
- Foot-pedal control and heavy gloves — both hands stay on the part and the gun, which is both faster and safer than trying to hold a trigger and reposition a workpiece at the same time
- Clear viewing window — the operator needs to see the surface being cleaned, not infer it from the sound
- 2 mm steel plate, fully welded, powder coated — cabinet walls deflect under blasting media, so plate thickness and weld quality decide whether the box stays rigid
- Abrasive recovery for recycling — media that is recovered stays in the system, which cuts consumption and keeps the dust load down
Results And The Limits Worth Knowing
The practical result is a clean working envelope with the media contained, and the operator can finish a part to a visual standard rather than a cycle time. Recovery also means a shorter media change cycle, since the cabinet does not fill with spent abrasive.
The limits are worth stating plainly. A manual cabinet is slower per part than a continuous line and depends on operator technique, so it suits low-volume, high-variety work rather than volume throughput. Very large parts will not fit through the door, and heavy media such as alumina or ceramic will consume wear parts and filter life faster than glass bead. Deep shadowed areas need nozzle repositioning and slower passes, not more pressure.
Pressure, filter specification, cabinet volume and gun type are all set against your part sizes, throughput and finish requirement, so nothing is quoted blind. Send a few sample parts and the configuration gets confirmed from real workpieces.
